Antique Dining Table -- Don't Worry About Spills
Do you want the look of antique without the worry? Antiques can cost a lot of money and considering a reproduction instead of the real thing can be less expensive and worrisome. What size of a space do you have in your home and how many people normally use it? Do you want to seat six or sixteen? Could you live with a table that can expand if you put in one or two leaves? What kind of material do you want the table made from? Dark wood or light wood or painted wood are always great choices. A table can be antiqued to look really old. Look for a table with sturdy legs -- you don't want it collapsing on you when the family sits down to dinner. There are square, oval, round, rectangular, octagonal and odd-shaped dining tables. How "old" do you want the table to appear? There are pretty beat-up antiques or repros all the way through to a lovely, dark mahogany table. What kind of chairs do you want to use? They can match the table or be varied in their look and mix.
